Here are the organizations and causes I focus my time, energy, and giving on.
Rotary Club of sumner - rotary international
Rotary Club of Sumner founded in 1926. I have been a member since 2017. I have had the wonderful opportunity to serve as
Lead for the Sumner-Bonney Lake Multi-Service Center Project in collaboration with the School District, Pierce County YMCA, and Pierce County Library System, among many other incredible stakeholders.
Club President of the 2021-2022 year and board member from 2020-2023.
Numerous club community service projects
bonney lake food bank and market
The BLFB Market and its CEO Stacey Crnich and her wonderful team have moved and scaled this organization to meet incredible demand for food security needs in Easy Pierce County. They partner with many other local stakeholders including the Sumner Food Bank, Sumner-Bonney Lake School District, County Leaders like Dave Morrel, and US Representative Kim Schrier. I have had to good fortune to work with their team as a community stakeholder and also as a Project Engineering and Logistics consultant for their Farm Fresh Lockers Program recently highlighted on Fox New Q13 with a visit from Washington Governor Jay Inslee.
building beyond the walls
Building Beyond the Walls creates an experience through inclusive hands-on construction skills training that increases confidence and self-reliance. By focusing on projects that give back, we connect individuals more deeply in their communities!
I’ve had the opportunity to serve this amazing organization as a Strategic Planning facilitator for several years, including through COVID times.
UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON DEPARTMENT OF PHILOSOPHY ADVISORY BOARD
I’ve served on the Advisory Board for 5 years. The Advisory Board provides an opportunity for interested citizens outside of academia, as well as members of the university community, to contribute to the Department of Philosophy. The department benefits from multiple perspectives, and the Advisory Board engages in reflection and discussion aimed at strengthening philosophy’s academic program as well as supporting the department’s community presence. The committee also explores funding opportunities to further the academic and outreach efforts of the department.
